🌿 Crepe Paper Lavender – Handmade Beauty in Bloom
This handcrafted crepe paper lavender captures the romantic charm of nature through delicate design and sustainable materials. Featuring soft purple blossoms and natural green stems and leaves, each piece is carefully shaped to resemble the elegance of real lavender — blooming gently in the palm of your hand.

DIY Lavender
Unlike fresh flowers, paper flowers never wilt and require no maintenance. They are perfect for home decor, weddings, festive gifts, or craft education. Made with biodegradable crepe paper, this lavender is eco-friendly and reusable, making it a meaningful and lasting alternative to traditional florals.
Whether you’re gifting it to a friend who appreciates beauty and craft, or adding a personal touch to your own space, this handmade lavender is a heartfelt expression of care and creativity — a little piece of art that never fades.
Materials Needed:
Purple crepe paper
Green crepe paper
Green floral tape
Thick floral wire
Double-sided tape
Scissors
Prepare the Crepe Paper:
Cut a strip of purple crepe paper measuring 5cm wide and 40cm long. Make sure the grain of the paper runs vertically.Fold the Paper:
Fold the purple crepe paper in half lengthwise (with the grain running top to bottom).Apply Double-Sided Tape:
Stick a strip of double-sided tape along one edge (the full 40cm length) of the folded side.Fringe the Paper:
Using scissors, cut vertical slits (approx. 2–3mm apart) along the folded edge — but don’t cut all the way through. This will create a fringe effect.Peel and Wrap:
Peel off the backing of the double-sided tape.Attach to Wire:
Take one end of a floral wire, and stick it to the taped edge of the crepe paper. Begin rolling the paper tightly around the wire to form the lavender bloom.Fluff the Flower:
Gently use your fingers to tease and curl the fringed sections outward, creating a natural, uneven lavender texture.Secure the Base:
Apply a small piece of double-sided tape to the bottom of the bloom to secure the end.Wrap the Stem:
Use green floral tape to neatly wrap around the wire stem, covering it from base to tip.Make the Leaves:
Cut a 2cm wide, 30cm long strip of green crepe paper. Fold it in half lengthwise.Shape the Leaves:
Cut out leaf shapes from the folded paper. Gently twist and shape each leaf to add natural curves and texture.Attach the Leaves:
Use a small piece of floral tape to secure one or two leaves to the stem just below the flower head.Finished!
Your handmade crepe paper lavender is now complete — eco-friendly, reusable, and beautifully realistic.
